Brow and Eyelid Lifts
What is brow and eyelid surgery
If you are considering eyelid or brow surgery
Brow lift procedures restore a more youthful, refreshed look to the forehead and eye area, and can smooth the muscles that cause furrowing. A surgical brow lift removes or shifts extra skin to smooth the forehead and raise the brows. The brow can also be lifted non-surgically using injectables.
Eyelid procedures may address the upper lids, the lower lids, or both. Upper eyelid surgery, known as blepharoplasty, removes the skin overhang in the upper lid while maintaining complete closure, and typically produces a significant aesthetic improvement for a relatively low-risk procedure. Many patients also notice their peripheral vision improve. The lower lid procedure addresses puffiness, under-eye bags, excess skin, and laxity in the lower lid muscle. Brow and eyelid surgery can be performed on their own or alongside a face and neck lift when the whole face is being addressed.
Are you a candidate?
The best candidates are healthy men and women bothered by heavy upper lids, a low or heavy brow, or puffiness and loose skin beneath the eyes. Part of the consultation is working out which of those is actually driving what you see, since the brow and the lids can look like the same problem.
What to expect
Brow and eyelid surgery usually takes one to two hours, under local anesthesia with sedation or under general anesthesia, and is typically performed in an accredited outpatient surgical center.
A surgical brow lift may be performed endoscopically or as an open procedure that removes skin, and eyelid surgery is often carried out in the same session. Most patients are ready for work and public at about two weeks, resume light activity at three weeks, and return to full activity at six weeks.

Planning your consultation
In your initial consultation, Dr. Hosn will spend the time needed to understand your goals, perform a complete examination, and make recommendations tailored to your anatomy. Our office is committed to educating every patient on the risks, benefits, and alternatives of this procedure.
The typical patient meets with Dr. Hosn three times before proceeding with any major procedure, ensuring expectations are clearly defined and the plan is right for you before any commitment is made. Body
For contour that diet and training have stopped changing, usually after pregnancy or significant weight loss.
Skin
The daily work that decides how the surgical work ages. Medical-grade formulations, prescribed rather than picked off a shelf.
