Key Ingredients (PM)
SQUALANE
Used in the synthesis of natural skin sterols essential for maintaining skin barrier function, Squalane, derived from olives,
is a biological component of human sebum and is therefore very skin friendly. It is an excellent moisturizer that does not
leave a heavy, greasy residue on the skin.
BISABOLOL
Found as a natural component of chamomile, Bisabolol is an eective anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory ingredient,
helpful in soothing red, irritated skin.
RAPESEED (BRASSICA CAMPESTRIS STEROLS) (CHOLESTEROL)
An emollient which makes skin smooth and soft. One of three ingredients that comprise the skin’s natural lipid barrier.
PALMITOYL TETRAPEPTIDE-7
Reduces inflammatory cytokines, known as interleukins. By reducing inflammation, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 may
potentially reduce the cumulative amount of damage that occurs following exposure to UV light, pollution, internal
stress, and other pro-inflammatory factors. Cells exposed to UV radiation and then treated with palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7
saw an 86% reduction of interleukin production.
HYALURONIC ACID (SODIUM HYALURONATE)
A hydrophilic molecule, Hyaluronic acid attracts and binds up to 1,000 times its molecular weight in water, reduces TEWL
(trans-epidermal water loss), and helps to keep skin plump and firm. Sodium Hyaluronate is a glycosaminoglycan found in
the extracellular space that resists compression by absorbing significant amounts of water.
OLEYL LACTATE (ESTER OF LACTIC ACID)
A naturally-occurring alpha hydroxy acid derived from fermented milk, lactic acid helps speed up cellular turnover,
exfoliates dead skin cells, and is gentle enough for people with sensitive skin or rosacea. Since lactic acid is part of our
natural moisturizing factor, it is especially compatible with human skin.
HYDROXYPINACALONE RETINOATE / ESTER OF TRETINOIN (VITAMIN A)
This ester of Retinoic acid (Tretinoin) is more eective and less irritating than traditional esters. A co-factor of collagen
synthesis and a powerful antioxidant, this ingredient helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
GINGER ROOT EXTRACT
Ginger root, rich in antioxidants, can increase skin radiance and decrease inflammation.
